Naturopathic doctors (ND) are not medical doctors (MD). Naturopaths use
non-invasive natural remedies. They are often referred to as "drugless doctors." Naturopaths are trained
in subjects such as anatomy, physiology, herbology, nutrition, homeopathy, and iridology.
Naturopathic doctors work with all branches of medical science, referring individuals to other practitioners for
diagnosis or treatment when appropriate. Naturopaths perform a lifestyle analysis including dietary and
nutritional evaluation. Naturopathy is based upon a belief in the body's natural ability to heal itself when
furnished with the appropriate internal and external healing tools.
